Kidney Beans are a variety of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). They’re named for their kidney-like shape and are available in several colors, with red kidney beans being the most popular.

Red kidney beans are popular worldwide for their firm texture and slightly sweet flavor. They are nutrient-dense and a staple in vegetarian and plant-based diets.

White kidney beans, often referred to as Cannellini beans (especially the larger varieties), are a popular dry edible bean exported from the USA.

Black beans are a widely consumed pulse globally.

Packing Process

1. Cleaning & Sorting:

   • Removal of dirt, stones, and damaged beans via gravity tables, color sorters, and sieves.

2. Grading:

   • Beans are graded by size, color, and moisture content (typically 14-16%).

3. Packaging Options:

   • Bulk packaging: 25 kg or 50 kg woven polypropylene or jute bags.

   • Industrial: 50 lb sacks or tote bags (1,000–2,000 lbs).

4. Labeling: Includes lot number, country of origin, grade, net weight, and sometimes “non-GMO” or “USDA Organic” certifications.
